We are now looking for a senior DevOps engineer on behalf of a client for a long-term consulting assignment with an organization that has critical societal operations. The assignment is conducted in a technically advanced environment with very high demands on availability, security, and stable operations.

As a consultant, you will strengthen the client's DevOps/platform team and contribute with deep technical expertise, operational responsibility, and support in the further development and management of central IT platforms.

Assignment description

You will be part of a team responsible for:

• Container platforms based on OpenShift 4 and Kubernetes
• Kafka platform for mission-critical systems
• Parts of the monitoring and observability solution, including Prometheus and Grafana

The assignment includes both hands-on work in the platforms and more analytical and planned tasks, such as analysis, planning, documentation, and improvement work. You are also expected to contribute with architectural understanding, act as a mentor in the team, and collaborate with other teams, projects, and external suppliers.

On-call service is included according to a rolling schedule.

This is a consulting assignment starting immediately and ongoing. You will be employed by us at A-Talent Tech Stockholm. The employment type is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Role and responsibilities

In the assignment, you are responsible for operation, management, and further development of OpenShift 4-based clusters and Kafka platforms for critical systems, where high availability and security are crucial. You work hands-on with installation, configuration, and upgrades of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and related components, and are involved in incident management and troubleshooting at the 2nd/3rd line level.

You drive and implement improvements, upgrades, and changes, establish new environments as needed, and work structured with CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code. The role also includes IT security work, testing, documentation, and technical support to stakeholders. As a senior member of the team, you contribute with knowledge sharing and mentorship to strengthen the collective delivery.
